The Opportunity:

A part-time Design & Technology Teacher is sought to inspire and guide students from KS3 to KS5. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and innovative lessons in design and technology across Key Stages 3 to 5.
• Develop and maintain a stimulating curriculum that reflects industry standards and student needs.
• Manage and maintain well-equipped workshops, including CAD/CAM facilities, 3D printers, and metalworking equipment.
• Support students in achieving academic success and developing practical skills in product design, engineering, and graphics.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the department’s teaching and learning strategies.
• Provide pastoral support and guidance to students as needed.
• Participate in extracurricular activities and school events where appropriate.
• Stay up to date with developments in design and technology education and industry practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with relevant experience in design and technology.
• Experience teaching at KS3 to KS5 level.
• Strong knowledge of design and technology curriculum and industry practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Preferred

• Experience with CAD/CAM and 3D printing technologies.
• Background in product design or engineering.
• Experience with vocational and academic qualifications such as GCSE and A Level Product Design.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
