Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students, ensuring their well-being and academic progress.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to create a cohesive and supportive environment for students.
  • Monitor and report on student behavior, attendance, and overall welfare.
  • Organize and participate in school events, activities, and trips that enhance student engagement and development.
  • Maintain strong communication with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a consistent approach to student support.
  • Support the implementation of school policies and procedures related to student welfare and behavior management.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of boarding programs, including weekend and after-school activities.
  • Act as a role model, embodying the school’s values of Ambition, Courage, Integrity, and Respect.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a pastoral or student support role within an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take initiative when needed.
  • Commitment to the school’s values and mission, with a passion for supporting young people.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in a boarding school or similar environment.
  • Knowledge of child development and welfare practices.
  • Experience with pastoral care and behavior management strategies.
  • Flexibility and willingness to live on-site, if applicable.
