The Opportunity:

A Learning Support Assistant is needed to provide essential support to students with special educational needs. This role is integral to helping vulnerable pupils achieve their full potential within a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students with special educational needs in a mainstream setting
• Work closely with teachers to develop and implement individual learning plans
• Assist in the delivery of targeted interventions and support strategies
• Monitor and report on student progress and development
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being among students
• Collaborate with parents and carers to ensure a consistent approach to student support
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities
• Contribute to the overall school ethos and commitment to inclusion and diversity

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Experience working with students with special educational needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to Catholic education and the school’s values
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment

Preferred

• Previous experience in a school setting
• Experience with autism, dyslexia, or social, emotional, and mental health support
• Knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies
• Experience in curriculum support or learning assistance
