The Opportunity:
As the Director of Estates and Facilities, you will lead the strategic and operational management of estates services across all sites. This is a key role in shaping the future-ready environments that support the educational ambitions of a school. You will drive innovation, compliance, and continuous improvement in a dynamic and growing organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership of estates and facilities management services across all sites.
- Shape and deliver a long-term estates strategy aligned with the school’s educational goals.
- Lead a multi-disciplinary team to ensure excellence in all aspects of estates and facilities management.
- Oversee capital works, maintenance, compliance, health and safety, and both hard and soft services.
- Ensure all academies benefit from safe, compliant, and inspiring environments.
- Drive a culture of innovation, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Manage and develop relationships with external partners and contractors.
- Monitor and report on the performance of estates and facilities services.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven leadership experience in estates and facilities management.
- Strong strategic planning and project management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of compliance, health and safety, and building regulations.
- Experience in managing large-scale estates and facilities operations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams effectively.
Preferred
- Experience in a multi-academy trust or similar large-scale educational setting.
- Knowledge of capital works and major infrastructure projects.
- Experience with sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
