The Opportunity:

As the Director of Futures, you will lead the development and delivery of a comprehensive careers and futures programme that supports students from Lower School through to Sixth Form. This role is central to ensuring students are informed, inspired, and equipped to make confident decisions about their futures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a strategic careers and futures programme across all year groups.
  • Oversee careers events, the KGS Accelerator programme, work experience, and apprenticeships.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Sixth Form and Higher Education Lead to ensure alignment and coherence in student support.
  • Provide guidance and support to students in making informed decisions about their academic and career paths.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the careers and futures programme.
  • Engage with external partners, employers, and universities to build strong relationships and opportunities for students.
  • Ensure all activities align with the school’s mission and values.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in careers education, university admissions, or related fields.
  • Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership and across the school.
  • Experience in managing and delivering large-scale educational programmes.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of current issues in futures education.
  • Experience with work experience and apprenticeship programmes.
  • Familiarity with higher education admissions processes.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
