As an IT Technician, you will provide essential technical support to students, staff, and parents, ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and digital technologies that support teaching and learning. Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues across the school's IT infrastructure.
- Manage and support pupil laptops from Year 3 upwards, ensuring they are used effectively for learning.
- Deliver outstanding customer service to students, staff, and parents.
- Contribute to the smooth operation of classroom technologies and IT systems.
- Support school-wide IT projects and initiatives.
- Work collaboratively within the IT department and across the school.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging IT trends and solutions.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience working as an IT Technician or in a first/second line support role.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of IT systems, hardware, and software commonly used in educational environments.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Experience in a school or educational setting is highly desirable.
Preferred
- Experience with managing IT equipment for students.
- Familiarity with classroom technologies and digital learning tools.
- Knowledge of network infrastructure and cybersecurity best practices.
- Experience with IT project management or implementation.
