The Opportunity:
As the Director of Marketing and Communications, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the narrative and public image of a rapidly growing school group. You will be responsible for communicating the school’s mission and values with authenticity and impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy aligned with the school’s vision and goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including parents, students, and the wider community.
- Oversee the production of high-quality content across all communication channels, including print, digital, and social media.
- Manage and lead a team of marketing and communications professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure consistent messaging and brand identity.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure that marketing initiatives support the school’s strategic objectives and growth plans.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and communications efforts, using data to inform decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with all safeguarding and regulatory requirements in all communications and marketing materials.
- Represent the school at external events, conferences, and media engagements to enhance its profile and reputation.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a senior marketing or communications leadership role within the education sector or a related field.
- Strong understanding of the independent education landscape, including current trends, challenges, and opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic marketing and communications plans that drive engagement and growth.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for diverse audiences.
- Strong leadership and team management experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Preferred
- Experience in a high-performing school or educational institution with a strong brand identity.
- Familiarity with digital marketing, social media, and content creation tools.
- Knowledge of public relations, media relations, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Experience in managing large-scale projects and initiatives with tight deadlines and high expectations.
