The Opportunity:

As the Director of Teaching and Learning, you will shape and lead exceptional teaching and learning practices, driving curriculum innovation and professional development across the school. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a culture of evidence-based teaching and learning across the school.
• Drive curriculum innovation and ensure alignment with the school’s vision and mission.
• Support and lead professional development for teachers and senior staff.
• Work closely with the Deputy Head Academic to implement strategic initiatives.
• Foster collaboration among stakeholders in the Senior School to ensure shared goals and vision.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning practices.
• Promote a thriving environment where staff and students excel.
• Contribute to the Senior Leadership Team as an Assistant Head, providing strategic input and leadership.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven experience in school leadership, ideally in middle or senior leadership roles.
• Strong understanding of pedagogical research and cognitive science.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and drive curriculum innovation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

• Experience in leading professional development programs.
• Background in evidence-led teaching and learning practices.
• Familiarity with educational technology and its integration into teaching.
• Experience in a coeducational or progressive school setting.
