The Opportunity:
As the Director of Mathematics, you will lead the delivery of high-quality GCSE and A Level mathematics education, while also contributing to the award-winning Digital Futures Program. This role offers the chance to shape the future of STEM education and inspire the next generation of engineers and digital professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Mathematics department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Deliver GCSE and A Level mathematics lessons to students with a strong focus on engagement and achievement.
- Collaborate with industry partners to enhance curriculum content and provide real-world learning opportunities.
- Support the development and implementation of the Digital Futures Program.
- Mentor and develop teaching staff within the department.
- Monitor student progress and implement strategies to improve outcomes.
- Contribute to the school’s strategic goals and growth initiatives.
- Engage in continuous professional development and industry-related training.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in GCSE and A Level mathematics.
- Proven leadership experience in a school or educational setting.
- Strong subject knowledge in mathematics and a passion for teaching.
- Experience working with industry partners or in vocational education settings.
- Commitment to student success and a drive for continuous improvement.
Preferred
- Experience in a UTC or similar technical education environment.
- Familiarity with the Digital Futures Program or related initiatives.
- Experience in curriculum development or assessment design.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and take initiative in new projects.
