The Opportunity:

As the Director of Mathematics, you will lead the delivery of high-quality GCSE and A Level mathematics education, while also contributing to the award-winning Digital Futures Program. This role offers the chance to shape the future of STEM education and inspire the next generation of engineers and digital professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Mathematics department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Deliver GCSE and A Level mathematics lessons to students with a strong focus on engagement and achievement.
  • Collaborate with industry partners to enhance curriculum content and provide real-world learning opportunities.
  • Support the development and implementation of the Digital Futures Program.
  • Mentor and develop teaching staff within the department.
  • Monitor student progress and implement strategies to improve outcomes.
  • Contribute to the school’s strategic goals and growth initiatives.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and industry-related training.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in GCSE and A Level mathematics.
  • Proven leadership experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge in mathematics and a passion for teaching.
  • Experience working with industry partners or in vocational education settings.
  • Commitment to student success and a drive for continuous improvement.

Preferred

  • Experience in a UTC or similar technical education environment.
  • Familiarity with the Digital Futures Program or related initiatives.
  • Experience in curriculum development or assessment design.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and take initiative in new projects.
