The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Mathematics / Science to support KS3 students within the Thrive to Accelerate provision. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students' learning and development through tailored teaching and a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, adaptive lessons in Mathematics and/or Science to KS3 students
  • Support students in developing numeracy, problem-solving, and scientific enquiry skills
  • Implement tailored teaching strategies to address learning gaps and accelerate progress
  • Create a calm, supportive, and purposeful classroom environment
  • Collaborate with pastoral, SEN, and inclusion teams to provide holistic student support
  • Monitor student progress and implement targeted interventions
  • Work within a structured and disciplined learning community
  • Promote a culture of mutual respect and high academic standards

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with strong subject knowledge in Mathematics and/or Science
  • Experience or a keen interest in supporting students with additional learning needs
  • Ability to adapt teaching to meet a wide range of abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students
  • Commitment to inclusive practice and student wellbeing

Preferred

  • Experience with KS3 curriculum delivery
  • Familiarity with Thrive to Accelerate provision or similar support programs
  • Experience in developing and implementing targeted interventions
  • Background in special educational needs or inclusive teaching
