This Maths Teacher and Head of Mathematics (Prep) role combines classroom teaching with leadership responsibilities. The ideal candidate will drive excellence in Mathematics education and inspire a passion for the subject in students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the Mathematics curriculum across the Prep School.
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Mathematics lessons to students of all abilities.
  • Support and mentor junior staff within the Mathematics department.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure academic standards are maintained.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate cross-curricular learning opportunities.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives and professional development programs.
  • Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
  • Contribute to the school’s culture and values through active involvement in co-curricular activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a strong background in Mathematics education.
  • Proven leadership experience within a school or educational setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students and staff.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in curriculum development and delivery.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a department or team within an educational institution.
  • Familiarity with digital innovation in education.
  • Involvement in co-curricular or extracurricular activities.
  • Experience with teaching younger students or in a Prep School environment.
