The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the school’s music curriculum and performance programs.
  • Oversee the strategic direction and management of the Elite Music Academy.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with local primary schools and community organizations.
  • Deliver high-quality music education that inspires and engages students of all abilities.
  • Develop and implement outreach initiatives that extend music opportunities to wider communities.
  • Support and mentor music staff to ensure continued professional growth and excellence.
  • Promote the school’s music program both internally and externally through events and collaborations.
  • Ensure the music department aligns with the school’s vision and values, including literacy and student success.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience as a highly skilled and inspirational music teacher.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Strong ability to manage and develop a music curriculum and performance program.
  • Experience in leading and managing a music department or academy.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Commitment to student success and community engagement.

Preferred

  • Experience in working with disadvantaged students or in outreach programs.
  • Background in developing and leading music enrichment opportunities.
  • Experience in building partnerships with external organizations or schools.
  • Strong understanding of the role of music in education and personal development.
