The Opportunity:
As a Director of Operations, you will lead the school’s administrative and support functions, including finance, operations, premises, compliance, and HR. This is a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of a school that is dedicated to excellence in education and student welfare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the school’s administrative and support functions, ensuring efficient operations.
- Lead on finance, premises, compliance, and HR, maintaining high standards of governance and management.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that align with the school’s vision and values.
- Coordinate with senior leadership to support the strategic direction and operational goals of the institution.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that promotes staff and student well-being.
- Work closely with the leadership team to drive continuous improvement across all areas of the school.
- Monitor and report on key operational metrics to support decision-making.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a senior leadership or management role within an educational institution.
- Strong knowledge of school operations, including finance, HR, compliance, and premises management.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in education, business, or a related field.
- Experience in leading and managing administrative and support functions within a school setting.
Preferred
- Experience in a school that has received outstanding Ofsted ratings.
- Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection policies.
- Experience in managing large-scale projects and teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders.
