The Opportunity:
As an Examinations Officer, you will be responsible for managing and organising all aspects of cover and external examinations, ensuring compliance with awarding body regulations. You will also coordinate internal assessments, playing a key role in maintaining academic standards and supporting student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate external examinations in accordance with awarding body regulations.
- Organise internal assessments and ensure smooth administration throughout the academic year.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation is up to date and compliant.
- Work closely with teaching staff to support exam preparation and student progress.
- Monitor and manage examination timetables and logistical arrangements.
- Provide timely and effective communication with staff, students, and external bodies.
- Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed during examination periods.
- Support the implementation of examination policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience as an Examinations Officer.
- Experience in managing at least one summer examination season.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or educational setting.
- Familiarity with awarding body regulations and procedures.
- Experience with internal and external examinations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
