The Opportunity:
The Director of People will lead the development of a Trust-wide People Strategy to support the school’s growth and transformation. This role is central to building the infrastructure needed to ensure a strong, cohesive, and empowered workforce as the school expands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a Trust-wide People Strategy that supports organisational growth and transformation.
- Lead workforce planning, organisational design, and HR compliance across the Trust.
- Ensure seamless integration of new schools into a culture that values and empowers all colleagues.
- Enhance the school’s online presence and support PR and Marketing strategies through effective communications.
- Manage TUPE transfers and multi-site expansions with expertise and efficiency.
- Influence stakeholders at all levels and lead change initiatives across the organisation.
- Maintain strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and HR best practices.
- Support the development and delivery of training and professional growth opportunities for staff.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- CIPD Level 7 qualification (or equivalent) or willingness to gain it swiftly.
- Senior HR leadership experience with a proven track record in managing organisational growth, TUPE transfers, or multi-site expansions.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and HR best practice.
- Experience in developing and implementing HR strategies that support organisational transformation.
Preferred
- Experience in a Multi-Academy Trust or education setting.
- Demonstrated ability to create and enhance an online presence to support PR and Marketing strategies.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in leading change and managing complex organisational transitions.
