The Opportunity:

The Director of People will lead the development of a Trust-wide People Strategy to support the school’s growth and transformation. This role is central to building the infrastructure needed to ensure a strong, cohesive, and empowered workforce as the school expands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a Trust-wide People Strategy that supports organisational growth and transformation.
  • Lead workforce planning, organisational design, and HR compliance across the Trust.
  • Ensure seamless integration of new schools into a culture that values and empowers all colleagues.
  • Enhance the school’s online presence and support PR and Marketing strategies through effective communications.
  • Manage TUPE transfers and multi-site expansions with expertise and efficiency.
  • Influence stakeholders at all levels and lead change initiatives across the organisation.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and HR best practices.
  • Support the development and delivery of training and professional growth opportunities for staff.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • CIPD Level 7 qualification (or equivalent) or willingness to gain it swiftly.
  • Senior HR leadership experience with a proven track record in managing organisational growth, TUPE transfers, or multi-site expansions.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and HR best practice.
  • Experience in developing and implementing HR strategies that support organisational transformation.

Preferred

  • Experience in a Multi-Academy Trust or education setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and enhance an online presence to support PR and Marketing strategies.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in leading change and managing complex organisational transitions.
