The Opportunity:

As a SEND Administrator, you will provide essential administrative support to the school’s Additional Support Team. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, proactive, and passionate about supporting students with special educational needs. Your work will directly contribute to the school’s mission of delivering a high-quality, inclusive education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level administrative support to the SEND department
  • Maintain accurate records and produce reports using computerised systems
  • Communicate effectively with parents, students, and external agencies
  • Analyse data and ensure adherence to deadlines
  • Arrange meetings, coordinate events, and take detailed minutes
  • Respond independently to correspondence where appropriate
  • Support pupil welfare, including first aid and liaising with parents
  • Coordinate with the main school administration team
  • Manage stationery supplies and departmental resources
  • Support wider school administrative duties, including examination invigilation

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong ICT and administrative skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Experience in a similar administrative role
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Preferred

  • Experience working within a SEND provision
  • Knowledge of educational policies and procedures
  • Experience with data management systems
  • Familiarity with school administration software
