As a Science Technician, you will provide essential technical support to the Science department, ensuring that resources and equipment are well-maintained and available for use by both staff and students. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain science equipment and resources for use by staff and students.
  • Work collaboratively with Science department staff to ensure a safe and effective learning environment.
  • Support students in practical science lessons and experiments.
  • Follow instructions and maintain a calm, professional demeanor in challenging situations.
  • Adapt to new ideas and respond appropriately to a variety of situations.
  • Uphold strong moral and ethical principles in all interactions.
  • Contribute to the well-being of students and maintain a positive school environment.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly stored and maintained according to safety standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience with science equipment and laboratory resources.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with students and staff.
  • Ability to follow instructions and remain calm under pressure.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and ethical working environment.
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of science curriculum requirements.
