The Opportunity:

As Director of Primary Education, you will lead the strategic development and improvement of primary schools within a growing Catholic education trust. This is a pivotal role for those passionate about driving school improvement, raising educational standards, and embodying the mission and values of a Catholic institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the development of primary schools across the trust.
  • Drive school improvement initiatives and raise educational standards.
  • Inspire, empower, and challenge staff to lead the next stage of a school’s journey.
  • Work collaboratively with senior leadership teams and the Archdiocese of Southwark.
  • Ensure alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the trust and the Diocese.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including staff, parents, and governors.
  • Support the implementation of Catholic ethos in all aspects of school life.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of educational strategies and interventions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Extensive experience in a Primary school Senior Leadership Team, including at Headteacher level.
  • Demonstrated success in leading school improvement and raising education standards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to the mission, vision, and values of a Catholic institution.

Preferred

  • Experience in working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational structure.
  • Knowledge of Catholic education and the role of faith in school life.
  • Experience in developing and leading strategic educational initiatives.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
