As the Director of Sixth Form, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality, inspiring Sixth Form experience that supports students in achieving academic and personal success. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of the school and make a lasting impact on student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Sixth Form Centre, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Oversee the UCAS application process, providing expert guidance to students in securing university placements.
  • Work closely with the Heads of Year to deliver academic and pastoral support tailored to individual student needs.
  • Develop and implement effective marketing, recruitment, and retention strategies in collaboration with the Director of External Relations.
  • Contribute to the strategic vision of the school, promoting a culture of excellence and professional development.
  • Support and enhance co-curricular engagement, enriching the student experience beyond the classroom.
  • Foster a strong sense of community and ensure the Sixth Form reflects the values and mission of the school.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, ensuring consistent standards and positive outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Honours degree qualification
  • Strong qualifications in both English and Maths
  • Proven experience in teaching and leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire students and staff
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills

Preferred

  • Experience in managing a Sixth Form or similar department
  • Experience with UCAS application processes
  • Leadership experience within an educational setting
  • Experience in developing and delivering marketing and recruitment strategies
