The Opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Maths Teacher to join a dynamic and successful department dedicated to inspiring students of all abilities. The role involves teaching Mathematics from Key Stage 3 through to Key Stage 4, with the potential to also teach A-Level Mathematics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Mathematics to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially A-Level.
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons using a range of high-quality resources and software.
  • Support the flexible setting of Mathematics classes and monitor student progress.
  • Participate in departmental responsibilities and contribute to the continued success of the Mathematics team.
  • Prepare and mark assessments, providing constructive feedback to students.
  • Engage with students in competitions and extracurricular activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the Mathematics curriculum.
  • Attend meetings and contribute to the planning and review of the department’s teaching and learning strategies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Mathematics education.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 3 and 4 Mathematics.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching A-Level Mathematics.
  • Familiarity with the Pearson GCE specification and endorsed resources.
  • Experience in using digital tools such as Mathswatch, Integral Maths, and MathsPad.
  • Leadership experience within a departmental setting.
