The Opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Maths Teacher to join a dynamic and successful department dedicated to inspiring students of all abilities. The role involves teaching Mathematics from Key Stage 3 through to Key Stage 4, with the potential to also teach A-Level Mathematics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Mathematics to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially A-Level.
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons using a range of high-quality resources and software.
- Support the flexible setting of Mathematics classes and monitor student progress.
- Participate in departmental responsibilities and contribute to the continued success of the Mathematics team.
- Prepare and mark assessments, providing constructive feedback to students.
- Engage with students in competitions and extracurricular activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the Mathematics curriculum.
- Attend meetings and contribute to the planning and review of the department’s teaching and learning strategies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Mathematics education.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
- Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
- Experience teaching Key Stage 3 and 4 Mathematics.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
Preferred
- Experience teaching A-Level Mathematics.
- Familiarity with the Pearson GCE specification and endorsed resources.
- Experience in using digital tools such as Mathswatch, Integral Maths, and MathsPad.
- Leadership experience within a departmental setting.
