The Opportunity:

As a Site Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that the school’s premises, grounds, and contents are maintained, cleaned, and secured to the highest standards. This role supports the school’s mission to provide a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and monitor the cleanliness and order of school premises and grounds.
  • Ensure that all areas of the school are secure and free from hazards.
  • Assist with the maintenance of school facilities and equipment in line with legislative requirements.
  • Support the Site Team in managing day-to-day operations and maintenance tasks.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with other staff to ensure that the school environment is welcoming and functional.
  • Assist with the preparation of school events and activities as required.
  • Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in facilities management or a related field.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends if required.

Preferred

  • Experience working in an educational setting.
  • Understanding of school operations and procedures.
  • First aid training or willingness to obtain it.
  • Experience with cleaning and maintenance equipment.
