The Opportunity:
As a Site Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that the school’s premises, grounds, and contents are maintained, cleaned, and secured to the highest standards. This role supports the school’s mission to provide a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and monitor the cleanliness and order of school premises and grounds.
- Ensure that all areas of the school are secure and free from hazards.
- Assist with the maintenance of school facilities and equipment in line with legislative requirements.
- Support the Site Team in managing day-to-day operations and maintenance tasks.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with other staff to ensure that the school environment is welcoming and functional.
- Assist with the preparation of school events and activities as required.
- Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in facilities management or a related field.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
Preferred
- Experience working in an educational setting.
- Understanding of school operations and procedures.
- First aid training or willingness to obtain it.
- Experience with cleaning and maintenance equipment.
