The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective music lessons to students across all key stages.
  • Develop and implement a robust music curriculum aligned with UK educational standards.
  • Support the school’s Extended Curriculum Activities (ECA) by contributing to music-related programs and events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver cross-curricular projects and initiatives.
  • Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to enhance the school community.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the ongoing improvement of music education within the school.
  • Monitor and assess student progress in music, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education with a relevant specialism and PGCE qualification.
  • Or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject with a PGCE in Education.
  • Proven experience teaching music in a UK setting or international school following the British curriculum.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK national curriculum and best practices in music education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a newly established or expanding school setting.
  • Ability to contribute to co-curricular and extra-curricular music programs.
  • Experience in pastoral care and student support.
  • Familiarity with digital tools and technologies used in modern music education.
