Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a high-quality Design and Technology department with a clear vision for vocational education
• Inspire and engage students through creative, hands-on learning experiences
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver cross-curricular projects and opportunities
• Promote inclusion and ensure all students can achieve their potential
• Support and mentor staff within the department
• Champion professional development and continuous improvement in teaching and learning
• Work closely with senior leadership to align departmental goals with school-wide objectives
• Ensure the curriculum meets the highest standards and prepares students for future careers

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven experience in leading a Design and Technology department
• Strong subject knowledge in design and technology
• Excellent teaching and classroom management skills
• Commitment to student inclusion and pastoral care
• Experience in curriculum development and delivery
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and senior leadership

Preferred

• Experience in developing vocational and technical education pathways
