Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a high-quality, knowledge-rich curriculum in Drama and Music.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and self-expression.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support cross-curricular learning and student development.
  • Organise and lead extra-curricular activities and clubs related to Drama and Music.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.

  • Stay up to date with educational research and best practices in teaching and learning.
  • Contribute to the school’s vision and values through professional behaviour and ethical practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Drama and/or Music education.
  • Strong subject knowledge in both Drama and Music.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to student well-being and personal development.
  • Experience in delivering curriculum that aligns with educational research and best practice.

Preferred

  • Experience with extra-curricular activities and student leadership.
  • Familiarity with the Co-op values and ethos.
  • Experience in a school setting that prioritises safeguarding and PSHE.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for inspiring students through the arts.
