Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver a high-quality, knowledge-rich curriculum in Drama and Music.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and self-expression.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support cross-curricular learning and student development.
- Organise and lead extra-curricular activities and clubs related to Drama and Music.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
- Engage with parents and the wider community to promote the value of the arts in education.
- Stay up to date with educational research and best practices in teaching and learning.
- Contribute to the school’s vision and values through professional behaviour and ethical practice.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Drama and/or Music education.
- Strong subject knowledge in both Drama and Music.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Commitment to student well-being and personal development.
- Experience in delivering curriculum that aligns with educational research and best practice.
Preferred
- Experience with extra-curricular activities and student leadership.
- Familiarity with the Co-op values and ethos.
- Experience in a school setting that prioritises safeguarding and PSHE.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for inspiring students through the arts.
