The Opportunity:
As a Drama Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping the creative and academic development of students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and inspiring drama lessons that develop students’ creativity, confidence, and performance skills.
- Plan and deliver curriculum content that aligns with the school’s high standards and encourages student achievement.
- Support students in developing their artistic and personal growth through drama and performing arts.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the drama department and contribute to the wider school community.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them reach their full potential.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to continually improve teaching practice.
- Promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment that reflects the school’s anti-racist values.
- Engage with parents and the wider community to enhance student learning and school engagement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in drama education.
- Strong knowledge of drama curriculum and teaching methodologies.
- Commitment to student achievement and high academic standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Preferred
- Experience teaching drama across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Background in performing arts or related fields.
- Experience in developing and delivering creative and innovative drama lessons.
- Passion for inspiring students and fostering a love of drama and the performing arts.
- Experience in supporting student well-being and personal development.
