The Opportunity:

We are seeking an Early Years Assistant to support young learners aged 2 to 4 in a stimulating and safe environment. This role is ideal for someone passionate about early childhood education and committed to helping children thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support children of all abilities, including those with Special Educational Needs, in group and independent activities.
• Assist in planning and delivering lessons in line with Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidelines.
• Monitor and assess children's progress, providing regular feedback to the Room Leader and Early Years team.
• Adapt learning experiences to meet individual needs and support phonics delivery.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and stimulating learning environment.
• Support with daily routines, including intimate care where required.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Level 3 childcare qualification (or equivalent).
• GCSEs in English and Maths.
• Experience working with young children in an Early Years setting.
• Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure.

Preferred

• Experience with phonics delivery.
• Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs.
• Strong IT skills.
• Flexibility and a proactive approach to learning and development.
