The Opportunity:

As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in delivering specialist OT assessment and intervention within an education setting. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to support pupils with developmental trauma, neurodivergence, or SEMH needs, helping them foster independence and achieve positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and support the embedding of occupational therapy interventions for pupils with diverse needs.
  • Work collaboratively with education teams and clinical supervisors to implement OT provision as outlined in EHCPs.
  • Contribute to staff training and provide consultation as required.
  • Follow the OFG Occupational Therapy Ways of Working to ensure consistent and high-quality practice.
  • Engage in research projects and special interest groups to enhance professional development.
  • Support the setup and delivery of new schools within the Options Autism brand.
  • Maintain a person-centred approach, always prioritizing the needs and well-being of pupils.
  • Participate in cross-site working and contribute to the development of clinical practice across multiple locations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Recognised Occupational Therapy degree.
  • Valid and up to date HCPC Registration.
  • Registered member of RCOT.
  • Relevant experience in providing occupational therapy services within a similar setting.
  • Sound knowledge and clinical understanding of OT theory and its practical application.
  • Ability to work independently, flexibly, and confidently.
  • Clear and concise report writing skills.

Preferred

  • Experience working with neurodivergent individuals or those with learning difficulties, socio-emotional, or mental health needs.
  • Experience of multi-professional work with teams or services within the designated speciality.
  • Interest in sensory integration or sensory-informed practice (SI practitioner training in progress or completed).
