The Opportunity:

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational, social, and pastoral development of young learners. Working within a dedicated team, you will help deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or Key Stage 1 (KS1) curriculum and contribute to a nurturing and dynamic learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the educational, social, and pastoral development of pupils under the direction of the Room Leader or Class Teacher
  • Deliver the EYFS or KS1 curriculum in line with statutory requirements
  • Observe, assess, and maintain accurate records of pupils' progress
  • Promote positive behaviour and support the emotional well-being of students
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure a cohesive learning experience
  • Participate in continuous professional development (CPD) opportunities
  • Ensure all practices comply with relevant safeguarding and legal standards
  • Maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all pupils

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant early years or early childhood education qualification
  • Experience working with young children in an educational setting
  • Strong observational and assessment skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow direction

Preferred

  • Experience with the EYFS or KS1 curriculum
  • Experience in a school or early years setting
  • Familiarity with inclusive practices and supporting diverse learners
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
