The Opportunity:
As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational, social, and pastoral development of young learners. Working within a dedicated team, you will help deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or Key Stage 1 (KS1) curriculum and contribute to a nurturing and dynamic learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the educational, social, and pastoral development of pupils under the direction of the Room Leader or Class Teacher
- Deliver the EYFS or KS1 curriculum in line with statutory requirements
- Observe, assess, and maintain accurate records of pupils' progress
- Promote positive behaviour and support the emotional well-being of students
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure a cohesive learning experience
- Participate in continuous professional development (CPD) opportunities
- Ensure all practices comply with relevant safeguarding and legal standards
- Maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all pupils
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant early years or early childhood education qualification
- Experience working with young children in an educational setting
- Strong observational and assessment skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow direction
Preferred
- Experience with the EYFS or KS1 curriculum
- Experience in a school or early years setting
- Familiarity with inclusive practices and supporting diverse learners
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
