The Opportunity:
As a Nursery Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality early years education and care to children aged 2 to 4. You will inspire and motivate young learners in a supportive and stimulating environment, while helping them develop essential skills and prepare for the transition into a classroom setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and provide a caring and stimulating environment for children.
- Observe and assess children’s development and maintain accurate records.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team to support children’s learning and development.
- Encourage learning through play and teaching, using imagination to engage children.
- Support children in building literacy, language, and numeracy skills.
- Build strong relationships with parents and carers to support children’s progress.
- Monitor children’s progress and plan educational activities and games.
- Help children become more independent in daily tasks and routines.
- Prepare children for the transition into a classroom environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Level 3 qualification or above in Childcare or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of child safeguarding and a commitment to child welfare and safety.
Preferred
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience in working with young children in a nursery or early years setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create engaging and imaginative learning activities.
