The Opportunity:

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play a vital role in shaping the early development of children aged 3 months to 4 years. You will support their physical, emotional, and cognitive growth through a structured yet flexible approach that encourages exploration and learning. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of young children through a variety of engaging and age-appropriate activities
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a warm and inclusive learning environment
  • Deliver high-quality care and education in line with the school's curriculum and philosophy
  • Maintain a safe, stimulating, and well-organized learning space that promotes exploration and discovery
  • Collaborate with other practitioners to ensure consistent and effective support for each child's development
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance teaching and care practices
  • Keep accurate records of children's progress and communicate regularly with parents
  • Promote the school's values and mission in all aspects of daily work

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification
  • Proven experience working with young children in an educational or care setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Reliable means of transport

Preferred

  • Experience working in a school or nursery setting with a focus on early learning
  • Knowledge of early years curriculum and child development principles
  • Experience with the 'rhythm of the day' approach to learning
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including 4 or 5 days per week
