Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning, delivery, and evaluation of lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (E.Y.F.S).
  • Organise and manage classroom resources to ensure a smooth and engaging learning experience.
  • Maintain detailed records and write reports on children’s progress in accordance with school policy.
  • Provide a warm, caring, and stimulating environment for children.
  • Liaise regularly with parents to support the school's 'Parent Teacher Partnership' initiative.
  • Ensure best practice is used in all aspects of Early Years teaching.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
  • Encourage child-initiated learning and provide differentiated activities to support all learners.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Level 3 qualification in early years education.
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (E.Y.F.S) and child development.
  • Experience in planning and delivering engaging early years activities.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and parents.

Preferred

  • Experience with interactive whiteboard technology and IT systems.
  • Experience in writing comprehensive reports on children’s progress.
  • Proactive approach to professional development and training.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A positive, enthusiastic, and proactive attitude towards teaching and learning.
