The Opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Economics and Business Teacher to inspire and engage students with a strong academic background and a love for the subject. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on young minds in a vibrant, forward-thinking educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Economics and Business lessons to students across a range of ability levels.
- Develop and implement engaging, innovative teaching strategies that promote student success and critical thinking.
- Support students in achieving academic excellence through individualised guidance and pastoral care.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and contribute to departmental initiatives.
- Participate actively in the school’s co-curricular programme and community events.
- Monitor student progress and provide detailed, constructive feedback to support continued growth.
- Stay up to date with developments in Economics and Business education and incorporate new ideas into teaching practice.
- Contribute to the school’s mission of fostering Purposeful Engagement, Courageous Attitude, Humble Ambition, and Gracious Leadership.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching Economics and Business at the secondary level.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and pastoral care.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Preferred
- Experience with co-educational and boarding school environments.
- Familiarity with A Level and GCSE curricula.
- Experience in developing and delivering co-curricular activities.
- Demonstrated success in student achievement and progression.
