The Opportunity:
As an Assistant Sports Tutor, you will play a key role in supporting children's physical and social development. You will work closely with teaching staff to deliver engaging and stimulating activities that promote the overall growth of students in a friendly and dynamic school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and assist teaching staff in meeting the educational, physical, and social needs of students.
- Deliver a variety of stimulating activities that promote physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development.
- Encourage and support students in developing confidence, teamwork, and physical skills.
- Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure a consistent and positive learning experience for all students.
- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for children during sports and physical activities.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of sports programs and events.
- Monitor and report on student progress and development in line with school policies.
- Contribute to the overall wellbeing and happiness of students through engaging and inclusive activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience working with children in an educational or care setting.
- A strong interest in physical development and sports.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and support teaching staff.
- Commitment to the holistic development of children.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a teaching or tutoring role.
- Knowledge of child development and learning theories.
- Experience with sports coaching or physical education.
- First aid or CPR certification.
- Experience with curriculum planning and delivery.
