Summary:

Join as an Assistant Sports Tutor and support children's physical and social development in a supportive school environment.

The Opportunity:

As an Assistant Sports Tutor, you will play a key role in supporting children's physical and social development. You will work closely with teaching staff to deliver engaging and stimulating activities that promote the overall growth of students in a friendly and dynamic school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and assist teaching staff in meeting the educational, physical, and social needs of students.
  • Deliver a variety of stimulating activities that promote physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development.
  • Encourage and support students in developing confidence, teamwork, and physical skills.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure a consistent and positive learning experience for all students.
  • Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for children during sports and physical activities.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of sports programs and events.
  • Monitor and report on student progress and development in line with school policies.
  • Contribute to the overall wellbeing and happiness of students through engaging and inclusive activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with children in an educational or care setting.
  • A strong interest in physical development and sports.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and support teaching staff.
  • Commitment to the holistic development of children.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a teaching or tutoring role.
  • Knowledge of child development and learning theories.
  • Experience with sports coaching or physical education.
  • First aid or CPR certification.
  • Experience with curriculum planning and delivery.
