The Opportunity:

We are seeking an Economics Teacher - Part-Time or Full-Time to join a thriving department and inspire students in a subject that is highly valued and popular among Sixth Form learners. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students’ academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Economics lessons to A-level and AS-level students, fostering critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Support the school’s commitment to academic excellence by contributing to departmental planning and curriculum development.
  • Provide pastoral care and guidance to students, promoting their overall wellbeing and success.
  • Participate actively in the co-curricular life of the school, including extracurricular activities and events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent and engaging learning experience for all students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students achieve their goals.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain and enhance teaching expertise.
  • Contribute to the induction and support of early career teachers where appropriate.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience or an ECT with a strong commitment to education.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Economics.
  • Experience in teaching Economics at A-level or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and personal development.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching additional subjects.
  • Experience with A-level Economics curriculum and assessment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Experience in contributing to co-curricular activities.
