The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Governor (Board Member) and a Co-opted Member for the Audit and Risk Committee to support the school's strategic governance and assurance processes. These roles are ideal for individuals with senior-level experience in audit, risk, finance, or education governance who are passionate about contributing to an outstanding institution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic oversight and challenge to support strong assurance, risk management, and compliance.
• Contribute to the governance and strategic direction of the institution.
• Attend and actively participate in Board and Audit & Risk Committee meetings.
• Support the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
• Ensure effective scrutiny of financial and operational controls.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Senior-level experience in audit, risk, finance, or education governance.
• Demonstrated ability to provide constructive challenge and strategic insight.
• Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.

Preferred

• Experience in compliance, regulatory assurance, or public sector governance.
• Knowledge of cyber security, data protection, or estates management.
• Strategic leadership or senior management experience.
