The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and skilled Maths Teacher to join its successful and forward-thinking department. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact on student achievement across KS3 and KS4, while working in a supportive and innovative academic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based teaching and learning in Mathematics to students across KS3 and KS4.
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans that promote student engagement and achievement.
  • Support the continuous improvement of the Mathematics department through collaboration and shared best practices.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted feedback and interventions where needed.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and pastoral support.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Mathematics education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high-quality learning experience for all students.
  • Provide mentorship and support to early career teachers where appropriate.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Mathematics education.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
  • Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Commitment to evidence-based teaching and learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to a successful Mathematics department.
  • Experience with curriculum development or assessment strategies.
  • Experience with teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) or supporting diverse learners.
  • Experience with staff development and mentoring.
