Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Psychology lessons that meet curriculum specifications and promote student success.
  • Assess student work regularly and provide timely, constructive feedback to support learning and progression.
  • Use the school’s in-house systems to monitor and support student progress effectively.
  • Build and maintain positive, supportive relationships with students to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver the Psychology curriculum in line with awarding organisation requirements.
  • Participate in extra-curricular activities and trips that enhance the learning experience for students.
  • Contribute to the professional development of the department through teamwork and shared best practices.
  • Support the school’s mission of nurturing the whole person, both academically and personally.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Psychology.
  • Experience in teaching Psychology at A Level or equivalent.
  • Ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons that meet curriculum standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and pastoral care.
  • Experience with assessment and feedback strategies.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to departmental development.

Preferred

  • Experience with extra-curricular activities or pastoral support.
  • Familiarity with inclusive education and supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Experience with safeguarding and student wellbeing initiatives.
  • Background in Catholic education or values-based teaching.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
