Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging Psychology lessons that meet curriculum specifications and promote student success.
- Assess student work regularly and provide timely, constructive feedback to support learning and progression.
- Use the school’s in-house systems to monitor and support student progress effectively.
- Build and maintain positive, supportive relationships with students to enhance learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver the Psychology curriculum in line with awarding organisation requirements.
- Participate in extra-curricular activities and trips that enhance the learning experience for students.
- Contribute to the professional development of the department through teamwork and shared best practices.
- Support the school’s mission of nurturing the whole person, both academically and personally.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Psychology.
- Experience in teaching Psychology at A Level or equivalent.
- Ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons that meet curriculum standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and pastoral care.
- Experience with assessment and feedback strategies.
- Willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to departmental development.
Preferred
- Experience with extra-curricular activities or pastoral support.
- Familiarity with inclusive education and supporting students with diverse needs.
- Experience with safeguarding and student wellbeing initiatives.
- Background in Catholic education or values-based teaching.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
