The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and inspirational Electrical Installation Trainer to join our Construction department and deliver high-quality training on a range of electrical installation courses. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of technical education and support learners in achieving their career goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver training on a range of Electrical Installation courses;
  • Contribute to the development of aspirational teaching, learning, and assessment strategies;
  • Maintain accurate records of learners’ progress;
  • Ensure the learning environment promotes equality, diversity, and inclusion;
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and incorporate them into teaching;
  • Support learners through practical and theoretical instruction in electrical systems, fault finding, and control systems;
  • Participate in professional development and training programs provided by the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Level 3 or above in Electrical Installation or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent;
  • Minimum of 5 years’ industry experience with a Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation;
  • GCSE Grade C (4/5) in English and Maths;
  • Proven experience with electronic and electrical systems, including industrial, power, and electronics;
  • Up-to-date occupational experience;
  • Enhanced DBS check.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching or training, including Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs);
  • Familiarity with educational frameworks and learning support strategies;
  • Experience in developing and delivering curriculum content;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
