The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced and inspirational Electrical Installation Trainer to join our Construction department and deliver high-quality training on a range of electrical installation courses. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of technical education and support learners in achieving their career goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver training on a range of Electrical Installation courses;
- Contribute to the development of aspirational teaching, learning, and assessment strategies;
- Maintain accurate records of learners’ progress;
- Ensure the learning environment promotes equality, diversity, and inclusion;
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and incorporate them into teaching;
- Support learners through practical and theoretical instruction in electrical systems, fault finding, and control systems;
- Participate in professional development and training programs provided by the school.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Level 3 or above in Electrical Installation or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent;
- Minimum of 5 years’ industry experience with a Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation;
- GCSE Grade C (4/5) in English and Maths;
- Proven experience with electronic and electrical systems, including industrial, power, and electronics;
- Up-to-date occupational experience;
- Enhanced DBS check.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching or training, including Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs);
- Familiarity with educational frameworks and learning support strategies;
- Experience in developing and delivering curriculum content;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
