The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate Lecturer in Electrical Installation to deliver high-quality teaching and support learner progression. This role is ideal for those looking to make a meaningful impact in the field of electrical training and education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver engaging lessons on Electrical Installation courses, including T Level BSE or equivalent.
  • Contribute to the development of teaching, learning, and assessment strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of learners’ progress and performance.
  • Support learners in developing practical skills in electrical systems, fault finding, and control systems.
  • Ensure a learning environment that promotes equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Stay up to date with industry practices and incorporate them into teaching.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and learner outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Level 3 or above in Electrical Installation/Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years industry experience and a Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation.
  • GCSE Grade C (4/5) in English and Maths.
  • Commitment to obtaining a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience with electronic and electrical systems, including industrial, power, and control systems.
  • Understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion in the learning environment.
  • Current occupational experience in the electrical field.
  • Enhanced DBS check.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching or training within an educational setting.
  • Familiarity with T Level qualifications and assessment methods.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to mentor and support new staff through the Lecturer Development Programme.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of £28,997 – £43,748 per annum.
