The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate Lecturer in Electrical Installation to deliver high-quality teaching and support learner progression. This role is ideal for those looking to make a meaningful impact in the field of electrical training and education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver engaging lessons on Electrical Installation courses, including T Level BSE or equivalent.
- Contribute to the development of teaching, learning, and assessment strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of learners’ progress and performance.
- Support learners in developing practical skills in electrical systems, fault finding, and control systems.
- Ensure a learning environment that promotes equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- Stay up to date with industry practices and incorporate them into teaching.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and learner outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Level 3 or above in Electrical Installation/Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years industry experience and a Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation.
- GCSE Grade C (4/5) in English and Maths.
- Commitment to obtaining a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience with electronic and electrical systems, including industrial, power, and control systems.
- Understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion in the learning environment.
- Current occupational experience in the electrical field.
- Enhanced DBS check.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching or training within an educational setting.
- Familiarity with T Level qualifications and assessment methods.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to mentor and support new staff through the Lecturer Development Programme.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of £28,997 – £43,748 per annum.
- Generous pension scheme with employer contributions (28.68% for TPS and 21% for LGPS).
