The Opportunity:

As an Employer Engagement Lead, you will play a key role in connecting students with real-world experiences and employers. This position is vital in helping students build confidence, skills, and career readiness. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with local and regional employers to provide meaningful work experience opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and expand partnerships with local and regional employers and charities.
  • Coordinate and deliver work experience and employer engagement opportunities for students.
  • Ensure all students have access to relevant and impactful career development experiences.
  • Support the Careers team in creating a comprehensive employer engagement strategy.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of employer engagement activities on student outcomes.
  • Represent the school at events and meetings with employers and industry partners.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align employer engagement initiatives with curriculum goals.
  • Promote the school’s vision and values to external stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in employer engagement or careers guidance.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with employers and external partners.
  • Experience in developing and delivering work experience programs.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Commitment to student success and career development.

Preferred

  • Experience in the education sector, particularly in sixth form or further education.
  • Knowledge of local industry and employer networks.
  • Experience with career planning and employability skills development.
  • Familiarity with equality, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
