The Opportunity:

As an Exam Access Arrangements Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring that all students receive the necessary support for examinations in line with regulatory standards. This is a vital position that contributes directly to the school’s commitment to equity, compliance, and student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the Exam Access Arrangements (EAA) process in accordance with JCQ and awarding body regulations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate implementation of EAAs for both public and internal examinations.
  • Communicate clearly with students, parents/carers, and staff regarding exam arrangements and support.
  • Maintain detailed and compliant records in line with SEND policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Academic Skills team to support students with additional needs.
  • Provide administrative support to ensure smooth operation of the EAA process.
  • Stay up to date with changes in regulations and best practices in exam access arrangements.
  • Assist in the development and review of EAA procedures and documentation.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in an educational setting, preferably in exam administration or student support.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with JCQ regulations and exam access arrangements.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with students, parents, and staff.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

Preferred

  • Experience in working with students with additional needs.
  • Knowledge of SEND policy and inclusive education practices.
  • Experience with exam administration software or systems.
  • Background in education or related fields.
