The Opportunity:

As Vice Principal (Finance and Resources), you will lead and manage key areas including Finance, MIS, IT, and the Library. You will work closely with the Director of Estates and Commercial Services to ensure the smooth operation of the school’s facilities, catering, and security. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to make a significant impact on the strategic direction of the institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and management across Finance, MIS, IT, and the Library.
  • Oversee and support the Director of Estates and Commercial Services in managing Estates, Health and Safety, Catering, Retail, and Security.
  • Ensure the effective use of financial resources and support the school’s strategic goals.
  • Implement and manage systems for data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Lead and develop the team responsible for finance and resources, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure the school’s infrastructure and services meet the needs of students and staff.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Support the development and implementation of the school’s long-term financial planning and budgeting processes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in a senior management or leadership role within education.
  • Strong track record in managing change and leading large teams.
  • Extensive experience in financial management and budgeting within a large educational institution.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver strategic projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of MIS systems and their application in educational settings.

Preferred

  • Experience in managing IT and library services within a school or college environment.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and estate management.
  • Experience in leading and developing teams in a high-performing educational institution.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting and compliance requirements.
