The Opportunity:
As a Senior Examinations Officer, you will lead the exams team and ensure the smooth running of all examination processes. This role is critical to maintaining compliance with JCQ regulations and delivering exceptional results and post-results services to students and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the exams team, ensuring all operational aspects of examination sessions are effectively planned and executed.
- Make candidate entries, monitor progress, and manage the workload of the exams office efficiently.
- Ensure full compliance with JCQ regulations and support the Examinations and Assessment Manager in their absence.
- Coordinate with invigilators and provide guidance on examination procedures and standards.
- Handle results and post-results services with accuracy and professionalism.
- Communicate effectively with staff, students, parents, and external bodies.
- Utilize data-rich software to manage and analyze examination data.
- Deliver outstanding customer service across all levels of the school community.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in managing examination processes within a sixth form or educational institution.
- In-depth knowledge of JCQ regulations and examination procedures.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in leading and managing a team.
- Ability to use data management software effectively.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
Preferred
- Experience in a senior examinations or administrative role within a college or school setting.
- Familiarity with Level 3 and A level qualifications.
- Experience with MIS systems and data analysis tools.
- Background in staff development and training.
- Experience in a high-performing, inclusive educational environment.
