The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Social Sciences, including Sociology and Health & Social Care.
- Support student learning through innovative teaching strategies and continuous professional development.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share resources and improve teaching practices.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of the curriculum and enrichment activities.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and growth.
- Participate in staff meetings, planning sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records and report student progress to parents and colleagues.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Social Sciences or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Sociology and Health & Social Care curricula.
- Proven ability to deliver effective and engaging lessons.
- Commitment to student welfare and inclusive education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or college setting with a focus on sixth form education.
- Experience with continuous professional development and collaborative teaching.
- Familiarity with A level and Level 3 Applied General courses.
- Experience with safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
