Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative lessons in engineering and design and technology to students aged 14-19.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that integrates academic and technical learning, preparing students for further education and careers.
  • Collaborate with industry partners and university institutions to enhance the learning experience and provide real-world insights.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through personalized learning and pastoral care.
  • Participate in the continuous professional development (CPD) program to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure high standards of learning and achievement.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture that promotes discipline, respect, and student well-being.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in engineering and design and technology.
  • Strong subject knowledge in engineering and technical disciplines.
  • Proven ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities.
  • Experience in delivering a curriculum that combines academic and technical learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in a university technical college or similar setting.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard tools and technologies used in engineering and design.
  • Experience with vocational qualifications or apprenticeship programs.
