The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Psychology Teacher to join a dynamic and growing department. This is an opportunity to shape the learning experience of A-level students and contribute to a thriving academic community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Psychology lessons in line with the OCR specification, covering compulsory and optional topics.
  • Monitor student progress and ensure each learner reaches their full potential.
  • Contribute to the development of teaching resources, schemes of work, and assessment strategies.
  • Promote student engagement through enrichment activities and innovative teaching methods.
  • Work collaboratively with department colleagues to plan and deliver effective learning experiences.
  • Participate in staff development, appraisal, and lesson observation processes.
  • Support student welfare and safeguarding in accordance with school policies.
  • Engage with parents, external partners, and higher education institutions as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Psychology at A-level.
  • Strong knowledge of the OCR Psychology specification.
  • Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.
  • Ability to develop and deliver engaging lessons.
  • Experience in using IT and online platforms for teaching and learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental development.
  • Background in curriculum design or resource development.
  • Familiarity with ethical leadership in education.
  • Experience with equality and diversity initiatives.
  • Previous involvement in staff training or professional development.
