The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Psychology Teacher to join a dynamic and growing department. This is an opportunity to shape the learning experience of A-level students and contribute to a thriving academic community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Psychology lessons in line with the OCR specification, covering compulsory and optional topics.
- Monitor student progress and ensure each learner reaches their full potential.
- Contribute to the development of teaching resources, schemes of work, and assessment strategies.
- Promote student engagement through enrichment activities and innovative teaching methods.
- Work collaboratively with department colleagues to plan and deliver effective learning experiences.
- Participate in staff development, appraisal, and lesson observation processes.
- Support student welfare and safeguarding in accordance with school policies.
- Engage with parents, external partners, and higher education institutions as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Psychology at A-level.
- Strong knowledge of the OCR Psychology specification.
- Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.
- Ability to develop and deliver engaging lessons.
- Experience in using IT and online platforms for teaching and learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or contributing to departmental development.
- Background in curriculum design or resource development.
- Familiarity with ethical leadership in education.
- Experience with equality and diversity initiatives.
- Previous involvement in staff training or professional development.
