Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and inspire students across Key Stage 3 and 4 in a range of subjects.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality lessons that support student achievement and engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
  • Stay up to date with current developments in education and effectively implement strategies such as the Pupil Premium.
  • Contribute to the development of personalised learning programmes tailored to the needs of students.
  • Support the integration of therapeutic services into the learning environment where appropriate.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status or currently in training as a trainee teacher with placements at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Strong record of teaching with demonstrable success in achieving positive examination results.
  • Detailed knowledge of current educational developments and effective use of the Pupil Premium.
  • Ability to translate vision into practical outcomes in the classroom.
  • Commitment to providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering therapeutic or pastoral support within an educational setting.
  • Experience with teaching students with additional needs or from disadvantaged backgrounds.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
