The Opportunity:

As an IT Lecturer, you will deliver high-quality teaching and learning across Digital and IT programmes, helping learners develop the skills needed for future success in the industry. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective teaching across Digital and IT programmes, including Level 1 and T Level provision.
  • Support learners in developing technical and professional skills in areas such as database management, full-stack website development, and digital security.
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of vocational and T Level courses aligned with industry standards and requirements.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages confidence, creativity, and practical application of knowledge.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality education and learner progression.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Support students in preparing for technical assessments and occupational specialism exams.
  • Promote inclusivity and diversity within the classroom and across the institution.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant qualification in IT or a related field, with experience in teaching or training.
  • Proven ability to deliver complex digital concepts in an accessible and engaging way.
  • Experience in teaching learners at different levels, including Level 1 and T Level students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support student development and engagement.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Digital and IT subjects within further education or vocational settings.
  • Familiarity with industry legislation and emerging technologies.
  • Experience with teaching English as a Second Language or working with diverse student groups.
  • Background in developing and delivering T Level or vocational courses.
