Senior Curriculum Manager - English to lead curriculum development and teaching at a school.

The Opportunity:
As a Senior Curriculum Manager - English, you will lead curriculum development, ensure high-quality teaching and learning, and contribute to strategic improvements across the school. This role is ideal for someone passionate about education and committed to student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of curriculum content, delivery models, and innovative teaching approaches.
- Oversee student progress, behaviour, and achievement, ensuring robust assessment and accreditation processes.
- Manage the day-to-day organisation of courses and support staffing arrangements.
- Contribute to recruitment, admissions, enrolment, and induction processes.
- Liaise with colleagues, partner organisations, and external agencies.
- Teach on appropriate courses and support the management of the Programme’s cost centre.
- Authorise purchases within budget and contribute to income-generating initiatives.
- Support staff recruitment, induction, performance management, and development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in curriculum development and teaching within Further Education.
- Strong background in quality assurance and leadership.
- Deep understanding of national and local issues affecting post-16 learners.
- Ability to manage budgets, resources, and data effectively.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Preferred
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
- Familiarity with safeguarding and quality assurance processes.
- Experience in leading teams and supporting staff development.
- Knowledge of innovative teaching approaches and digital learning tools.
