The Opportunity:
As an Engineering Lecturer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education and inspiring students to achieve their full potential. You will design and deliver learning materials across a range of engineering modules, including Higher Education, and contribute to the development of innovative teaching practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deliver engaging learning and teaching materials across a range of engineering modules.
- Support students to achieve their full potential through high-quality instruction and guidance.
- Contribute to the development of teaching strategies and policies that align with industry standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience and maintain high academic standards.
- Ensure the effective use of state-of-the-art facilities and resources to support student learning.
- Participate in the assessment and feedback process to support student progress and achievement.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and developments in engineering education.
- Engage with employer partners to ensure the curriculum reflects real-world applications and skills.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant teaching qualification or experience in engineering education.
- Proven experience in delivering engineering-related courses at Level 3 or above.
- Strong knowledge of BTEC or T Levels in electrical/electronics or mechanical manufacturing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and take initiative in developing teaching practices.
Preferred
- Experience in Higher Education teaching.
- Familiarity with current industry trends and developments in engineering.
- Experience with safeguarding and student welfare procedures.
- Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion in education.
