The Opportunity:

As an Engineering Lecturer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education and inspiring students to achieve their full potential. You will design and deliver learning materials across a range of engineering modules, including Higher Education, and contribute to the development of innovative teaching practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deliver engaging learning and teaching materials across a range of engineering modules.
  • Support students to achieve their full potential through high-quality instruction and guidance.
  • Contribute to the development of teaching strategies and policies that align with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience and maintain high academic standards.
  • Ensure the effective use of state-of-the-art facilities and resources to support student learning.
  • Participate in the assessment and feedback process to support student progress and achievement.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and developments in engineering education.
  • Engage with employer partners to ensure the curriculum reflects real-world applications and skills.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant teaching qualification or experience in engineering education.
  • Proven experience in delivering engineering-related courses at Level 3 or above.
  • Strong knowledge of BTEC or T Levels in electrical/electronics or mechanical manufacturing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and take initiative in developing teaching practices.

Preferred

  • Experience in Higher Education teaching.
  • Familiarity with current industry trends and developments in engineering.
  • Experience with safeguarding and student welfare procedures.
  • Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion in education.
